Martsang Kagyu Lama Chopa Puja
Lama Chopa is a practice of guru devotion specific to the Martsang Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.
The founder of Martsang Kagyu lineage, Choje Marpa Sherab Yeshe accomplished the achievement of Buddhahood in the pure land of Akshobhya Buddha and promoted the Buddhist teachings of Ten sides and three circles.
During the practice of the Lama Chopa Puja, we invite all the masters of the graduated path lineage beginning with Shakyamuni Buddha himself, extending to our current lineage holder of Martsang Kagyu, His Holiness Gangri Karma Rinpoche. Through offering sincere, heartfelt requests and compassion from beings, we receive the precious blessings from our precious lineage Masters. This will aid us in actualizing the realizations we need to attain enlightenment. If we wish to swiftly experience realizations, the practice of Lama Chopa is crucial.
The lineage Masters have developed both a deep understanding of the doctrine of Buddhism and a realization of the path within their minds. They have achieved complete enlightenment on the Buddhist path in our world. We pay homage to them, make offerings, and request each of them to please bless our minds with the same realizations that they themselves have generated.
To reach enlightenment, we learn & follow the Gurus path. We develop wisdom and Bodhicitta for the benefit of all sentient beings, and a happy life that not only benefits ourselves but all sentient beings.
We warmly welcome newcomers to attend the Martsang Kagyu Lama Chopa Puja.
